This recipe is inspired by the Intellectual dimension of wellness.
Intellectual wellness is about learning and maximizing your cognitive abilities. The learning process includes five basic steps: readiness, stimulus, discovery, response, and application. Intellectual wellness depends on a daily habit of feeding your brain with material that expands your knowledge and world view in addition to challenging and engaging your higher level thinking skills.
Advice from a mushroom:
Be down to earth. This means despite being what you know, you are aware there is so much you do not know, and this keeps you open to knowing more.
Sprout new ideas. Without ideas, progress isn’t made, change doesn’t happen, and much of human development stops.
Know when to show up for yourself. Say nice things to yourself when your impulse is to do the opposite because saying mean things to yourself gets you no where good. Give yourself compassion when you don’t feel high on life; healing is a journey.
Stay well-rounded. Learn something new everyday!
Start from the ground up. Take small steps to learn a new skill, and learn from others.
Be a fun-guy! 😊
